Linux Routerboard questions

Hi, thank you for creating this site and forum!

I was wondering if you could possibly answer a couple of questions for me. First of all, can you make the "Linux Routerboard" be a webserver and fileserver? Secondly, do you know if you a microSD card in the microSD slot will show up as a drive in Lenny? We would like to be able to put files on a microSD card to host on a router board, and be able to access those files through ftp or http.

Thank you,

Jason

Here's some answers:

1) Can you make the "Linux Routerboard" be a webserver and fileserver? Yes. I can do anything with them that can be done with Linux. Also, its not limited to debian. Gentoo-mips will go just fine and I've also developed my own uclibc based mips distro, which runs just fine :)

2) Will the microSD show up? Not at present. Its a problem with the mmc_spi module. The spi bus is shared with the NAND flash, and the module can't handle that. I'm going to start looking at that code --- as soon at the semester ends :)

3) Some ubiquiti boards have USB 2.0. That's on my list of boards to check out. It may give you what you want.

BTW, I want this too :)
