Hi, I'm Dr Basile. My student Melissa and I set up this site. As users begin to register, I thought, I'd better put up a general discussion area and hello forum.
My name is Jason, and I work with a wireless internet company. We're interested in your Linux routerboard project. Also, your Tin Hat is a very cool concept. I would love to try it out sometime to see how fast it is!
Hi Jason, I think I've got the hang of those boards. I'm going to start test out my "skills" on other similar boards. As yet, I haven't put in a wireless card but those are well known chipsets, so it should be straight forward <- famous last words :) Once I get linux on the boards, I feel I can pretty much get them to do whatever networking is possible with opensource. That's got to be useful.
I'd like to know what companies want. It gives me target beyond just the academics.
